The J-Strap

The J-STRAP is a simple sling strap composed of heavy-duty nylon.  It is design to be the perfect length for most individuals femoral length.  The routine that I have developed using the J-Strap is thorough and directive towards common areas of tightness in the body that athletics, fitness, or everyday life can cause!

Don't let the name fool you. You do NOT need to be a jock to get the most out of this simple apparatus.  Cure your back problems with this phenomenal, yet easy to perform stretch routine. Then, when the back gets better, try the 10-minute STRAP CIRCUIT, and see how easy home exercise can be.

The remedy. NO, it is not in a pill-bottle. NOT in a scalpel, NOR a syringe filled with steroidals, but it is in OVER-RIDING the tightness in the very tense, very powerful hamstrings.

OK, so you got the picture.  YOU need to stretch, not only, the hamstrings, but the entire body. What is the BEST way to do this?

I was recently asked if using elastic bands (ie: materials that change their shape/length) is best for stretching muscle tissue.  In my opinion, they are not…Here's my explanation:

"Muscles are elastic components.  The goal of stretching a muscle is to increase its length.  To do this, the tendon and the elastic components in the muscle (muscle spindle) must increase its length.  When using a device to stretch the muscle and eleastic device changes its own length, and compromises the extent of lengthening the muscle. This results in an ineffective stretch.

A nylon strap has 'plastic' properties. This means that it maintains its shape and form throughout all phases of the stretch.  Because of this, it allows the exerciser to gain complete and utter control over the muscle group to be stretched."
